Goulburn River Stone Cottages are part of the property “Gleniston”, situated 50 km north of Mudgee on the headwaters of the Goulburn River, Upper Hunter Valley, NSW. The property covers an area of 872 hectares (~2000 acres) and includes large areas of native forest and bush land, with gentle creek flats rising to basalt peaks of grazing country.
“Gleniston” supports a wide variety of inland and coastal flora and fauna and is lightly stocked with a small herd of cattle. It adjoins Goulburn River National Park, renowned for its spectacular sandstone cliffs and gorges where shallow clear waters meander through beds of sand and peat, occasionally forming deeper pools.
